FOOD FEST 2023

Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi in association with Commerce Association of the college organised ‘Food Fest’ on Monday, January 23, 2023 with a feel of local cultural tradition. Very Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca, Correspondent, Milagres Educational institutions inaugurated the fest and Mrs Florine D’Silva, Lecturer, Milagres Pre-university College was the guest of honour.

Students had put up stalls and mini shops of varieties of local multi cousine. Almost all the locally prepared food items were prepared, and served as per demand.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Vincent Alva, Principal said this is an unique opportunity provided to the students to learn the concepts of visualising, planning, budgeting and team work along with getting to know the local culture pertaining to food and its richness.

A flash mob by the students and exhibition of traditional items from the college museum added pulse to the festivities.

Prof. Shylet Mathias, HOD, Commerce department, Mrs Clara Menezes, Head – Commerce Association, Dr Jayaram Shettigar, IQAC Co-ordinator and Mr Karthik Nayak, student’s wellfare officer were present.
